Cook With Us

Cook With Us Program uses basic cooking skills while using equipment you already have in your home.  This week-long program is for all skill levels and can be completed by an independent learner or with assistance from someone in the home. We will provide the recipes, equipment list and support to provide hands-on learning.

Owner/Pastry Chef of Just A Teespoon

Chef Tee Renee is a classically trained chef, who specializes in baking and pastry. She is a mom of four beautiful children. Her love for food came much later in her life. As a child, she was a very picky eater which led to a long life of eating boring foods, except for sweets! At 22 years old, she decided to expand her knowledge and love for food by starting with cooking all her favorites for Christmas dinner, inviting her family over to enjoy a first-time event. It was that moment she knew her, and food would be the key to connecting people together for a lifetime. Her journey was slow but steady. In 2003, she began baking cheesecakes to deal with the grief of losing her only daughter. From then she began to try different recipes, watching cooking shows and practicing as often as she could. In 2015, her official chef career began by entering culinary school at Lincoln Culinary Institute where she graduated Suma Cum Laude. Since graduating, Chef Tee Renee has had her desserts featured in two D.C. restaurants, ran a successful Groupon campaign, taught several baking classes and more. She’s since relocated back to her home state of California and continues to teach while running her pastry company, Just a TeeSpoon.
